I always liked the Iron Legion as a team for the cohesive theme. I've tried to maintain that theme (heavily armored or robotic/cybernetic with super-science as a major factor in all of their origins) but this time around I've tried to focus each character so that they all have their specialties.
IMPASSE is the imposing leader, nearly unstoppable in a physical confrontation.
CYBERNETRIX is the cybernetic assassin who keeps replacing parts of herself with new and improved versions.
TANK is...well...a human tank with multiple weapons systems.
METALLUS is an Energy absorbing robot that uses energy directed at him to replenish his own power supply.
On the flip side of Metallus' Energy-absorbing powers, FORCE wears a battle suit that creates a Force Field that absorbs Kinetic energy and converts it into offensive Force Bolts. Note: FORCE replaces the Piledriver from the original team line-up. I never felt satisfied with Piledriver.
IRON GAUNTLET is the Team sniper who has an extremely long-range Power Blast and a telescopic targeting system that allows him to make the shot at almost any distance. Note: In the original line-up Iron Gauntlet was a framed super-hero that joined the group to work against them from the inside. This is not the case with this version.
The last of the original line-up, MECHANO is a very different take on the original Mechno-Man. This MECHANO is an anachronistic Steampunk-era automoton who is virtually indestructable. Well, that's not true...he's very desctructable...he just keeps putting himself back together.
NEW ADDITIONS TO THE TEAM
THE IRON WITCH. Think a cross between Poison Ivy (but with metal and not plants) and Magneto. Crazy and dangerous (to her own teammates) but too powerful to turn away. She also comes with her own metal scrap monster, LURCH.
And finally, the wild-card of the bunch, ARACHNAE. With four additional cybernetic arms, all capable of firing at once, she's someone you'd rather have firing away from you, rather than at you.
