Okay this idea was inspired / pilfered from Jared Sorensen over on RPGnet. I didn’t read the whole thread but just enough to get the gist of it!
The League
So I’m gonna put my spin on it!
I'd like this to be a Midnight's Lair Community Project, you don't have to participate, but we'd be really touched and appreciated if you did!!
In the Vanguard Universe the United States Federal Government wants to have a contact or liaison with in the super heroic community for every State and Territory in the Union; so to that end it has assembled a National League of Super Heroes, membership in the league is currently on a voluntary basis. Now some states don’t have any superheroes, or at least not any public ones, so as a result the may not have a registered member on the Leagues roster, and some may have more than one based on their population density. States that have state sponsored teams often "Volunteer" one of its members to serve as the league liaison for their State.
The League members can expect to be called upon during times of national crisis, to assist other federal agencies in coping with whatever situations may arise, be they Natural Disasters (Floods, Hurricanes, Earthquakes, and the like.) Terrorist Attacks, Invasions, Etc.. The League is answerable only to the commander in chief but require an act of congress to activate in any large numbers.
States by Population density: 1. California - Captain Hollywood (created by SoL) 2. Texas - Lonestar (created by Jackpot) 3. New York - Skyscraper (created by Chance) 4. Florida- Nereid (created by Chance) 5. Illinois- WhiteTail(created by Midnight) 6. Pennsylvania 7. Ohio 8. Michigan 9. Georgia 10. North Carolina 11. New Jersey - Gladiola (created by PMikey) 12. Virginia - FoxHound (created by Rover) 13. Massachusetts - Freedom Fighter (created by White Wolf)** Special Status as "National" representative. 14. Massachusetts - Mayflower (created by Chance) 15. Washington 16. Indiana 17. Arizona 18. Tennessee 19. Missouri 20. Maryland 21. Wisconsin 22. Minnesota 23. Colorado 24. Alabama 25. South Carolina 26. Louisiana - Baron La Croix (created by Midnight) 27. Kentucky 28. Oregon 29. Puerto Rico 30. Oklahoma 31. Connecticut 32. Iowa 33. Mississippi 34. Arkansas 35. Kansas 36. Utah 37. Nevada - Broadhorn (Created by Dabo) 38. New Mexico 39. West Virginia 40. Nebraska 41. Idaho 42. Maine 43. New Hampshire 44. Hawaii 45. Rhode Island 46. Montana 47. Delaware 48. South Dakota 49. Alaska - The Mathemagician (Created by The Acrobatic Flea) 50. North Dakota 51. Vermont 52. Wyoming 53. District of Columbia - Col. Swift (created by PMikey) 54. Guam 55. United States Virgin Islands 56. Northern Mariana Islands 57. American Samoa The idea is to take a state and name the League Member for that State and give a short 1-2 paragraph description of them and why they volunteered for duty in the League! Virginia is reserved for PMikey.
Remember when creating your entry, Vanguard City is essentially a 4 Color (Modern age) setting!!
So what do you think of this Idea?

Virago's Resignation from the League By Percy Michael Hodge
Virago was proud to represent the state of Virginia in The National League of Super-Heroes for many years until a crisis in Vanguard city occurred at the same time as she was summoned to respond to a national crisis on The League's Priority One Emergency Alert. Reasoning that there were over 50 heroes in The League and only one of her in Vanguard City, she opted to remain in Vanguard City to deal with the local threat.
Virago triumphed over her adversity but The League suffered huge losses, resulting in the deaths of 6 members and the forced retirement due to injuries of another 10 members.
Virago attended each of the funerals for The League's lost members and gave her condolences to the families and friends for their loss. It was at the funeral of the Texan hero Lonestar that she encountered The Tempest, Arkansas' representative member who had loss the use of both of his legs in the crisis. Tempest grilled Virago on her absence from the crisis and spitefully blamed their losses on her not showing up when called.
Although the chairman of the league, Freedom Fighter, tried to quiet Tempest's outburst, Virago couldn't help but notice judgmental looks from other League members present. Five days later she resigned her membership in The League.
The League attempted to recruit The Cardinal into their ranks but their invitation was intercepted by Foxhound who accepted in her stead - despite attempts by The League to correct his "mistaken" impression that the invitation wasn't meant for him.
Foxhound's brash and cavalier manner grates on many members of The League, especially the female members he keeps hitting on, but no one can fault his enthusiasm as he has never yet missed a meeting and has even gone so far as to host League "socials" to allow the members to mingle in a relaxed atmosphere where the world isn't coming to an end.
The other added benefit to Foxhound's membership in The League is that he never answers an emergency alert without bringing the rest of The Virginians with him. Although his detractors suggest this is indicative of Foxhound's inability to hold his own without his team to back him up, the bulk of The League look at it as a positive thing as they get the full force of The Virginians on any case they call Foxhound in on.

Baron La Croix is the League member from Louisiana. Created By Erik Menard
He is a powerful Sorcerer or Bokor; who has waged an endless battle to protect the people of his home city of New Orleans, from threats physical as well as meta-physical since the 1950’s, it has been rumored that Baron has made a pact with his namesake to protect him from death cold embrace, but at what cost nobody knows … The Baron dresses in formal attire, a tuxedo and a white top hat. His features are obscured by what is assumed by the public to be black and white face paint representing a grinning skull. Baron La Croix is a somber and dreadfully menacing presence to those that would do evils work in his home, but to those whom he grants his protection he is seen as social and jovial fellow, the life of the party.
He is a very public hero, and as a result is a much sought after guest of honor for many social and charitable events held all over Louisiana, he has been to the governors mansion many time in his long career, and on some of those occasions he may actually have been an invited guest. When the Governor approached him and requested that he consider accepting membership with the League on Louisiana’s behalf, he was only too honored to serve his state in this capacity.
Baron La Croix has served the League with distinction since his induction to it’s ranks, but he does have a tendency to quietly encourage Foxhound in his escapades. Unknown to many of his fellow league members Baron La Croix personally guided and assisted the spirits of the fallen 6 to come to terms with their deaths make a peaceful transition to their respective afterlives, an act that has earned him a great deal of respect and admiration in the eyes of Freedom Fighter.

Captain Hollywood representing California Created By Josh Geary
When choosing a representative from California a number of heroes came to mind. Unfortunately Captain Hollywood wasn't one of them. However he was the only hero who answered the call. At first a vote was placed and the odds were stacked against the young proud hero. His antics with the press had hurt his standing amongst his peers. Worse yet his TV show Captain Hollywood and the All Stars had many believing that he wasn't a hero at all. With all this said he had proven himself working with other Leaguers in stopping Furor Fire and Anarchy Inc from burning Washington DC to the ground.
Though accepted into the League, Captain Hollywood is also noted in League history as coming close to ejection shortly after induction. This was due to using footage from his induction and his first meeting as the season opener for the current run of Captain Hollywood and the All Stars. Several heroes seemed to be taken back by his editing techniques and his failure to release that he uses stealthed miniature camera drones to record all his activity.
When profiled for the Leagues records he is listed as a Bold, Charismatic, and a Show Boat. Though impulsive and eager to keep his name in lights he has yet to ignore a request from the League. He has proven capable though Unorthodox.
Captain Hollywood has also used his natural charisma in conjunction with press conferences and his TV show to help build stable reputations for the League. Its not uncommon to see him labeled as the official spokes person for the league. Though this is not the truth in some circumstances this works very well to the Leagues advantage.
Currently Captain Hollywood's All Stars have numerous members and Guest Stars. The two main stays which Captain has used as official assistance on League assignments are Prima donna and The Action Figure.

Skyscraper Created by Alex Fada
Scott Roberts was a New York City Firefighter. A hero by choice. But he became a superhero by accident, after inhaling a cocktail of fumes from a fire at a genetic research lab. Soon after he realized that he had the ability to alter his size, to grow to over 30’ tall and took on the name Skyscraper. Since that day, he has been a valiant and popular hero in NYC, and NY State’s representative with The League. He devotes a lot of his time to charities, especially causes involving children. He generally has an easygoing personality, but can occasionally be somewhat defensive if he feels that his position in The League as NY State’s hero might be threatened by another hero.

BroadHorn - Nevada Created By Marc Gendron
Nobody knows from whence Broadhorn came, even himself...but he has made the fine state of Nevada proud. His badly bruised and dehydrated body was found by a passing tourist, lost on his way to the Casinos, and thought to be a lost actor from some fantasy movie. The tourist ended up taking Broadhorn and placing him, with some difficulty, into his cab and driving him to what he thought was the closest hospital - a Tonopah Vet clinic.
It was, in retrospect, the best that could've happened to Broadhorn, as what the tourist had thought to be an elaborate costume, turned out to be reality.
On a quick glance, Broadhorn seems like a legendary Minotaur, his humanity disappearing just above the waist-line and turning into the broad and heavily muscled upper body of a long-horned steer. He retains the arms and hands of a humanoid, though with three enlarged fingers and one thumb instead of the usual five.
Broadhorn suffers from a total amnesia of all events prior to finding himself in the Nevada desert four days before being found.
Despite the apparent damage he'd suffered, once rehydrated, his wounds healed quickly and his muscle-mass grew to what we see today. He has long since stopped asking questions about his past, as have the local news crews...concentrating instead on his glorious future as a member of the League. Long live Nevada and long live Broadhorn!

New Jersey...the Garden State. No one exemplifies this more than Gladiola. Created By Percy Michael Hodge
No one is quite sure of who Gladiola is or where she's from but there is no doubting the sheer power at her command. And that power is the control over plant life in any of it's various forms, from the tiniest fungal spore to the mightiest of sequoias. Under her will, plants grow at thousands of times their natural rate and obey her every command.
When first encountered, some twenty years ago, Gladiola was perceived as a villain by the heroes of New York and New Jersey until her true motives were revealed; that she was going after those who broke the pollution laws and despoiled the natural splendor of her beloved state. It took the combined resources of the then-fledgling league to capture and contain her; to get her to listen to reason. The league offered her a position in the league as a way to help guide her in the use of her awesome abilities within the boundaries of the law and also keep an eye on her if she ever got out of hand again.
Ironically, even though membership in the league has changed many times since she joined, Gladiola has remained a stalwart member, faithfully upholding the credo and spirit of the league's charter. Pictures hanging in the league's official headquarters in Washington DC show varioius incarnations of the league over the years and, in each one of them, Gladiola appears virtually unchanged and showing no signs of age in her twenty-year membership.
A fierce combatant, Gladiola is as fiercely loyal and passionate to those she considers her friends. When not fighting evil and crime in its various forms, Gladioladonates her time and considerable talents to various organizations engaged in preserving the environment and land preservation/reclamation efforts.
Baron LeCroix displays a rare amount of respect to Gladiola whenever he is in her presence. Others have pushed him for information on Gladiola but he remains oddly tight-lipped on the topic of his fellow league member. Various less-respectful male members, including Foxhound...okay...especially Foxhound...have boasted of bedding the spirited and uninhibited heroine at one time or another but it looks like the unlikely romance between Gladiola and Skyscraper may be taking root and growing into something fertile and strong.

Dr. Rufus Stone aka Mathemagician Created By Tim Knight
A natural genius, Rufus Stone spent many a long, dark Alaskan night, poring over ancient, forbidden tomes and applying his own mathematical formulae to the "spells" and "incantations" contained within. His ultimate aim is the unification of ancient, so-called "magic" with real-world science to solve his own Stone Equation, which he claims will unlock the secrets of the Universe.
Along the way, he has devised a method (using his super-intelligent PDA Bellinger) of inscribing magical symbols/codes in the air to unleash a range of effects. He claims all his abilities are scientific and all magic has its roots in hard fact and numbers, but some more 'gifted' sensitives claim he exudes an aura of natural magical ability.
As a certified genius, Stone has also turned his intellect to the subject of making money and through a series of wise investments has turned his modest family funds into a multi-million dollar business empire, which pretty much runs itself like clockwork ... or magic!
Personally, he never refers to himself as The Mathemagician, that's a title given him by the press, prefering "Dr Stone". A cold, terse man in a sharp suit who looks down on most 'costumed characters', Stone spends his life focussed on either business or solving The Stone Equation ... this "League" nonsense is just a distraction for him and if Alaska had any competant superheroes he would gladly hand over his role as liaison, but he owes Freedom Fighter a favour... which he doesn't like to talk about!

Colonel Abraham Swift - U.S.A.F. AKA - Col. Swift Created By Percy Michael Hodge
Abraham Swift dreamed of flying to the stars, so he joined the air force at the age of 18 with an eventual eye on a transfer to N.A.S.A. and the space program.
Abraham went though Engineering school on Uncle Sam's dime and while he studied the skills he needed to pursue his dream, he discovered a natural aptitude for Avionics and Engineering.
Making a name for himself both as an ace pilot and as a brilliant engineer, Abe Swift quickly rose through the ranks, distinguishing himself both as exceptionally qualified combat pilot and as a driving force in many of the avionics advancements made by the U.S. Government during his years of service.
However, due to political posturing by his superior officers, Swift was never granted a transfer to N.A.S.A. and he found himself spending less and less time in the cockpit and more time behind a computer screen.
Frustrated by the military's refusal to assign him to active combat duty "and risk one of their greatest intellectual assets", Swift resigned himself to his design R&D; which he continued to excel at for several years.
When field tests failed on one of his designs, killing two test pilots, Swift investigated only to find out that his designs had been changed in favor of cheaper equipment as a cost-cutting measure to bring the project in under budget. Disillusioned with his station and the callous disregard his superiors had for the welfare of the men under their command, Swift resigned his commission when his current tour of duty was completed.
Venturing into the private sector. Abe approached family friends for financial backing in his own little R&D firm. After successfully designing a series of ground-breaking avionics advancements, the patents from his designs made Abe Swift and his backers multi-millionaires.
Abe continued to develop groundbreaking advancements and, within a decade, Swift Aerospace was the leading Aviation manufacturer in the country and one of the first privately-owned companies to successfully launch their own space shuttle into a sustained orbit of 21 days, at a fraction of the cost of a NASA mission. Abraham Swift, of course, was the pilot for that mission. Finally he had reached the stars.
At some point in the last ten years, Swift approached The National League of Super-Heroes and made them an offer they couldn't refuse. Some time after their first shuttle mission, Swift and his crew Recovered an alien space craft of unknown design from a decaying orbit, Swift's team of scientists reverse-engineered the technology on board and had managed to create working teleportation technology; allowing instantaneous travel from one point to another.
To be effective, the technology required a clear line-of-sight for signal transmission of the carrier beam. With this in mind, Swift spent several years of construction on his Master Transmission Satellite in geo-synchronous orbit over North America. Now complete, he offered his teleportation services to the League as a public service.
The League gratefully accepted but, in accordance with their official sanction by the U.S. government, the League informed the government of their latest asset. When the government learned that Swift had the capability to instantaneously transport people anywhere in the U.S. from a previously-undetected satellite in Earth Orbit, they naturally freaked.
That's when Swift pulled an Ace out of his sleeve. In order to assuage the government, Swift agreed to have the existence of the Satellite labeled as "classified" information and agreed to be called back into active service, with his full rank and privileges reinstated, on permanent detached duty to the LNSH; answerable only to The League and The President of The United States.
Originally made an honorary member of the NLSH, Col. Swift's designated role was to command the Master Transmission Satellite and serve as the official liaison between the LNSH and The Pentagon (a role which he has handled better than any of his predecessors). However, Swift's "hands-on" approach quickly resulted in him becoming directly involved in more than one confrontation between the League and their enemies.
It wasn't long before the "honorary" title was removed from his membership and he was recognized as a true Hero and the official representative of The District of Columbia, stationed there in his role as liaison to the U.S. military.
While possessing no super powers, per se, Col. Swift employs a wide variety of customized non-lethal weaponry of his own design when dealing with emergencies in populated areas where innocent bystanders might get hurt. Being a military man, however, Col. Swift is not beyond the use of lethal force when the situation merits.
In addition to his personal equipment, Col. Swift employs a variety of high-tech experimental aircraft of his own design and, of course, he has the full resources of Swift Aerospace at his disposal.
Perhaps his greatest "weapon" in his war against crime is, of course, Vanguard-1, the Master Transmission Satellite which controls all of the teleportation travel employed by the NLSH on official League business. Along with a hand-picked staff from the Air Force and Swift Aerospace, Col. Swift spends the majority of his time on board Vanguard-1.
The boy who once dreamed of flying to the stars, now lives among them.

VANGUARD-1 Created By Percy Michael Hodge
The base of operations for Col. Abraham Swift, and named after his home town of Vanguard City, VA, The Vanguard Station is a marvel of modern engineering incorporating an amalgamation of Earth technology and alien technology reverse Engineered by Swift Aerospace scientists from an alien space craft recovered from near-Earth Orbit by Col. Swift.
In addition to the teleportation technology allowing Vanguard-1 to teleport members of The National League of Super-Heroes across the North American continent, the station also employs artificial gravity generators (not relying on centrifugal force to generate gravity) and an exotic particle fusion generator to supply electrical power for both the Matter Transporter system and the rest of the stations power needs.
At an overall height of 160 feet (excluding antennae arrays) and a diameter of 105 feet for the command/operations dome, the station weighs in at a respectable 4,400 metric tones. A large proportion of the station is dedicated to the four support tanks ringing the central spine. One of these tanks contains atmospheric recycling scrubbers & filters as well as additional atmospheric reserves, while another contains water recycling & reclamation systems and potable water reserves. The remaining two tanks store fuel for the station’s maneuvering thrusters and for the station’s two defensive fighter craft/shuttles.
Depending of food reserves, the water and atmospheric recycling and reclamation systems can sustain a full crew indefinitely when functioning properly, although practical operating tolerances may vary this somewhat. In the event of recycling system failures the atmospheric reserves can sustain a full crew for 8-10 days, depending on level of activity, and the water reserves can last in excess of 30 days with proper rationing.
The life of fuel reserves can vary drastically based upon fuel usage not only by the station’s limited maneuvering thrusters but also by the station’s two defensive fighter craft.
Although a heavily classified secret, and staffed by military personnel, Col. Swift has made it clear to the military that the station remains a privately held resource, wholly owned by Swift Aerospace and remains under his control.
In addition to Col. Swift himself, the Station is manned by 19 highly trained military and civilian personnel hand-picked by Col. Swift for their technical expertise or unique skills and their loyalty to both The United States of America and himself.
These personnel are broken down as follows:
Col. Swift’s second in command, Major Joseph Lassiter (Major, U.S.A.F)
Station Medical Personnel (“Ship’s Nurse”): 2nd Lieutenant Dianne Lassiter (sister of Maj. Lassiter); As 2Lt Lassiter has little to do most of the time she also does double duty as the station’s cook. This is not an official placement but a task she took on to keep herself occupied and to ensure that the men follow a proper nutritional regimen. She cooks three meals a day and leaves reheating instructions for personnel on evening and graveyard shifts.
Station Engineer: Larry Traynor (Lt., Air Force Reserve; employee of Swift Aerospace)
Assistant Engineer: Senior Airman Buddy Baker (U.S.A.F.)
Defensive Fighter Pilot Capt. Jack “Sparrow” Sanders (Captain, U.S.A.F.)
5 Teleport System Technicians/Operators across 3 shifts (2 from 08:00-16:00 EST; 2 from 16:00-24:00 EST; 1 from 24:00-08:00 EST) – All employees of Swift Aerospace.
9 Station technicians/crew (3 per shift; all various ranks of Airmen, U.S.A.F.)
Vanguard Station Layout
Top Deck
This deck houses all of the station’s military personnel and the offices of Col. Swift and Maj. Lassiter.
1 – Barracks for U.S.A.F. personnel. 2 – Barracks Latrine 3 – Barracks Antechamber and Security Checkpoint for Weapons Locker 4 – Weapons Locker 5 – Command Center Mezzanine 6 – Col. Swift’s office 7 – Major Lassiter’s office 8 – Atrium Mezzanine 9 – Breakroom Mezzanine 10 – Officers’ Quarters: Maj. Lassiter, Larry Traynor, 2nd Lt. Lassiter, Capt. Sanders (Sanders and Traynor bunk together) 11 – Officers’ Lounge 12 – Col. Swift’s Quarters
Main Deck
This deck is the nerve center for Station Operations.
13 – Port Storage 14 – Port Hanger Bay: Houses one of the stations’ two defensive fighters. Capt. Sanders, Maj. Lassiter, Larry Traynor and, of course, Col. Swift are all qualified on this spacecraft. 15 – Port Telescoping Docking Port 16 – G-Suit Storage & Pilot Ready Room (Traynor & Sanders) 17 – Isolation Room/Decompression Chamber 18 – Station Galley 19 – Access Passageways (allowing quick access to hanger bays from both the breakroom and the command center) 20 – Command Center: In addition to controling all of the station's functions from this command center, the command center is also the nerve center for the station's role as a global monitoring system by acting as a central hub for various U.S. Military and Intelligence satellites as well as a deep-space monitoring station and early-warning outpost. The station is equipped with a variety of high-tech radio and optical telescopes incorporating both state-of-the-art human technology and alien sensor technology. 21 – Atrium (Lower Level) 22 – Breakroom 23 – Station Infirmery 24 – Starboard Hanger Bay: Houses one of the station’s two defensive fighters; in particular, Col. Swifts favored one of the two…but no one is quite sure why as both ships are supposed to be “identical”. 25 – Starboard Telescoping Docking Port 26 – G-Suit Storage & Pilot Ready Room (Lassiter & Swift) 27 – Hanger Deck Machine Shop 28 – Starboard Storage 29 – Zero-Gravity Shaft: travel between all levels is done via this shaft. Handhold rungs along the side allow a person to pull themselves easily in either direction although some more adventurous sorts have been known to launch themselves up or down from the level they are on without using the rungs. As the gravity throughout the station is artificially created, in the event of a power failure, all sections of the station become zero-gravity areas as well.
Alpha Level
This level is reserved for indirect support requirements for the crew.
30 – Conference Room 31 – Document Storage: Being an “old school” military man, Col. Swift insists that hard copies be kept of all important documents (particularly schematics, blueprints, etc.). All important documents are stored in this room. 32 – Emergency Evacuation Pods: These four-man escape craft have all the aerodynamic features of a brick but they are pre-programmed to enter Earth atmosphere, fire retro-thrusters to slow themselves down sufficiently to allow for parachute deployment, and programmed to target large bodies of water for landing whereupon they automatically deploy floatation devices. Each pod contains a standard U.S.A.F. survival kit, emergency oxygen for 48 hours for four people and an emergency radio and distress beacon. There are 2 escape pods per level on levels Alpha, Beta, Delta and Epsilon for a total of 8 pods allowing for the evacuation of 32 people simultaneously. 33 – Gymnasium 34 – Standard bathroom
Beta Level
This level, identical to Delta Level, houses the civilian technicians employed by Swift Aerospace.
35 – Civilian Quarters: For Teleport technicians and visiting Swift Aerospace employees or other guests of Col. Swift. There are 4 identical quarters across Beta and Delta levels containing a double-bunk each, allowing for 8 personnel at any given time. Two sets of quarters are used by the Day/Evening shifts of technicians. A third is used by the sole technician on the graveyard shift. The fourth is reserved for visiting guests. Originally Larry Traynor was offered the fourth room but turned it down in favor of the more Spartan quarters of the military command staff.
Gamma Level
Flow Management & Life Support Control
36 - This entire level is broken into four chambers with the mechanisms and monitoring equipment required the manage the flow of materials from the stations Fuel, Water and Atmospheric storage tanks.
The equipment in these chambers also regulates the water and air recycling/reclamation process and the life support controls and distribution for the entire station.
Delta Level
This level, identical to Beta Level, houses the civilian technicians employed by Swift Aerospace.
35 – Civilian Quarters: For Teleport technicians and visiting Swift Aerospace employees or other guests of Col. Swift.
Epsilon Level
This level houses Col. Swift’s private lab.
37 – Col. Swift’s private lab: This is where Col. Swift works on various engineering projects in his spare time. The computer in this lab also has a direct communication link to the computers at Swift Aerospace that is not part of the normal communications/data traffic of the command centre. Only Col. Swift and Larry Traynor are aware of this, however only Col. Swift and Traynor have access codes to unlock the lab.
38 – Col. Swift’s vault: Why is Col. Swift’s vault in his lab’s lavatory? The answer is simple. Who’d think to look for it there?
39 – Equipment Storage: This store-room houses equipment that could be used in either Col. Swift’s lab or in the engineering room directly below.
Engineering Level
This level houses the Station’s main engines as well as the central Teleportation Control systems and access to the Matter Transmission Array itself.
40 – Central Teleportation Control: The monitors in this room are connected to all of the official NLSH telepads spread throughout the country. All teleportation is routed through the station’s Matter Transmission Array and are controlled by technicians in this room. In addition, there is a telepad in this room allowing for instantaneous transport between the station and the planet’s surface. Which is very handy for those weekend furloughs. The first image greeting personnel teleporting to the station for the first time is a stunning vista of the Earth in space, visible in the large window directly in front of the Telepad. People must make a DC10 Will check or be left speechless for several seconds after arrival due to the awe-inspiring beauty of the scene before them.
41 – Airlock Hatch to Matter Transmission Array: The array itself is not sealed against the rigors of space. This is a design feature put in place to help with dissipation of heat build-up, but it necessitates the use of space suits in order to affect repairs or adjustments to the array itself.
42 – Engine Room: The hybrid human/alien tech engines that power the station are housed in this room. As the largest drain on the electrical power of the station is the Matter Transmission Array, the Engine Room was incorporated into the physical structure of the array housing. When the engines are shut down for maintenance, battery power can maintain Station systems for up to 24 hours. This time is greatly reduced, however, if the Matter Transport Array is used during this time. Each use of the Matter Transport Array reduces battery life by approximately 1 hour.
43 – Tool Room and Machining Room: This room contains just about every high-tech tool known to man and the appropriate machining equipment to make any tool unknown to man.
Important Note: The design of this station is based heavily upon Ryan Wolfe’s Vanguard Station. For a detailed write-up, gaming stats and complete (unaltered) deck-plans to the station, I highly advise you to purchase this excellent product at Drivethrrpg.
I highly recommend not only this product but the entire run of "Future Armada" books by Ki Ryn Studios.

The second representative from Massachusetts...Mayflower… Created by Alex Fada
When Freedom Fighter was temporarily taken out of commission, Mayflower was a surprise choice as his substitute. Perhaps more so because the staid and conservative Freedom Fighter himself hand-picked the young and rebellious Mayflower as his replacement.
When Freedom Fighter was ready to return to active duty, he refused to do so if it meant that Mayflower would have to step down (even though she voluntarily offered to make way for the iconic hero). A solution was found when The League unanimously voted to make Freedom Fighter the "National" representative, representing not just one but ALL of the states; thereby allowing Mayflower to hold on to her seat at the League conference table.

Introducing White Tail the League member from Illinois Created By Erik MenardI'm just gonna leave you guessing about her powers while I work on her Character Sheet!! But Please feel free to speculate!! ========== White Tail a.k.a Barbara Taylor a high school history teacher from Chicago was taking a year sabbatical to help out at an archaeological investigation of a recently discovered ancient Illiniwek Ceremonial Site. While taking a break from the back-breaking work of digging at the site, Barbara was taking a walk in the nearby woods with her new fiend James Tallgrass the representative sent to supervise the Illini Confederation to supervise the Dig and make sure that the Remains and relics of their people were properly respected by the scientists. During their hike Barbara accidentally stepped into what they initially thought was a gopher hole, or the burrow of some other small animal, and severely twisted her ankle. While trying to free Barbara’s ankle James shifted some the rocks trapping her ankle which resulted in the ground around them caving in. They woke up in the dark not knowing how long they had been unconscious in the cavern in which they now lay. Slowly a light began to glimmer in the dark recesses of the depths drawing them further into the cavern. As they approached they beheld in awe an ancient ceremonial sun disk suspended from the roof of the cavern, and it glowed with light as intense as the noon day sun. As they beheld the spectacle of the Sun’s Light caged underground a voice Spoke to their souls “Human Beings have forgotten their place in the web of life, they have lost their connection to the earth mother and the sky father. If this continues Humanity is doomed, and will be punished according to the laws of nature they have abandoned. They must be shown the error of there ways, and taught to live in harmony with the Earth Mother & Sky Father, as well as the creature who are their brothers and sister. You two shall be our champions, you will embody the harmony of opposites that is the essential nature of all that is. You will be The Grey Wolf and The White Tailed Deer, Male and Female, Hunter and Prey, summer and winter, Life and death, Love and Fear. Go and make the people remember they are the children of the earth mother.” And thus were born the White Tail and the Wolf
