I've never played in a Horror based RPG unless you count In Nomine, which I do consider Horror. I have played several horror modules and have had good and bad experiences. Good topic, hope there's lots of replies.

In Nomine can certainly be run as a horror RPG, in fact it probably should be. Properly played the Angels should be just as terrifying as the demons.

Strange thing is I don't really consider The World of Darkness to be "Horror" games, the players characters have too much "Power" available to them. In order to have a real "Horror" game the players should retain a sense of "Fragility" and "Powerlessness" in the face of an obviously superior foe, and still be able in the end, to win... most of the time.
I guess that's why I love Chill RPG so Much, perhaps even more than WoD even though I haven't played to run it in years. the monsters in Chill CAN and WILL Kill your character if they can, when you start messing with there plans.

I think Horror can be a subjective term in gaming and in life. What you may find horrible another person may not, and vice versa. I do agree with you 100% about Chill, I hadn't thought of that in years.
