Sam Paterson - Splatter
Created By Percy Michael Hodge
Sam Paterson (one T, he's very sensitive about that) AKA "Splatter".
When he hit puberty, his mutant powers kicked in and he started developing stretching powers and he was quite excited by what he could do.
Within a year, though, his body had lost most of its solidity and he found he had to wear a containment suit designed to basically hold his semi-gelatinous mass in a humanoid shape.
The most disturbing visual aspect is its transparent headpiece where his face basically looks poured into it. Because of his distorted face and vocal organs, Sam can be difficult to understand when he speaks but anyone who spends time around him learns to discern his speech patterns quite quickly.
Through it all Sam keeps up a brave appearance and projects an air of positivity and good humor. He also has a reputation as a practical joker but his jokes so far have never been mean-spirited or malicious.
Sam works with a physical therapist three times a week to work on conscious control over his gelatinous form. Through intense concentration, he is able to maintain a normal human appearance for several minutes at a time but the effort leaves him feeling quite physically drained afterwards. He has also gotten quite adept at holding his face in the shape of other people's faces but, again, only for several minutes.
Sam is a big fan of water sports as being immersed in a liquid instead of a rubber skinsuit is the only time Sam feels truly comfortable. Sam can move incredibly quickly through water but his unconventional methods of movement disqualify him from competing in most water sports.
